I am the Director of the Laboratory for Advanced Computing (LAC) and the National Center for Data Mining (NCDM) at UIC.

My home page is www.rgrossman.com.

I am also a Professor in the Department of Mathematics, Statistics, & Computer Science (MSCS) and in the Department of Computer Science (CS) at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).

I am the Managing Partner of Open Data Group, which provides IT and stratetic consulting services focused on data.

My current research is in data mining, internet computing, high performance computing, high performance networking, distributed computing and related areas. There is additional information about this research and some demonstrations on the Teraflow Testbed web site.

In the past, I have also worked in symbolic and numeric computing. In particular, I worked on algebras of trees and some of their applications.
